How about you, Dear Reader? What were your favorites?

  1. I loved Eight Cousins by Louisa May Alcott, the Betsy-Tacy Books by Maud Hart Lovelace, and Honey Bunch and Norman by Thorndyke. I also read every Bobbsey Twin and Boxcar Children book our library had.

  2. I loved The Chronicles of Narnia, especially The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Some other books I remember liking in grade school were The Stinky Cheese Man, The Witch of Blackbird Pond, Where the Red Fern Grows, Catherine Called Birdy and The Giver.

I’m trying to read all the Newbery medal/honor books so I’ll have to read Strawberry Girl soon.
